Bryan Hill has been practicing exclusively corporate, real estate, employment and estate planning law for over 28 years. He began his legal career at the prestigious international law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in its Newport Beach, California office. While there, Mr. Hill gained experience in multimillion dollar sales and mergers of both public and private companies, documentation and closings of complex real estate leases, purchases and development transactions, securities offerings/compliance and representation of venture capital investors.
Mr. Hill then served as Associate General Counsel of McClatchy Newspapers, Inc., a multi-billion dollar New York Stock Exchange company and the third largest newspaper company in the nation, when McClatchy’s General Counsel at the time was promoted to publisher of one of its largest newspapers. Without supervision throughout his tenure, Mr. Hill was responsible for all legal affairs of the Company other than libel/first amendment matters, including all business and real estate activities and ventures, newspaper and asset purchases and sales, employment and benefits matters, extensive interaction and coordination with the Company’s operations, finance and human resources leaders and their subordinates, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, SEC reporting activities, and management of outside legal counsel. Since returning to North Texas, Bryan has concentrated his practice on representation of Texas businesses and individuals, although he continues to represent several California clients.
Bryan graduated with honors from the University of Houston Law Center. While there, he was Associate Editor of the Law Review and received several American Jurisprudence Awards for academic achievement. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from Rice University in Houston with double majors in Managerial Studies and Political Science. He was a team captain, four year starter and an Academic All-American selection in football, was named to the Dean’s List for academic achievement in five separate semesters, and received the Rice University Sports Post-Graduate Studies Scholarship.
A native of North Texas, Bryan attended Lamar High School in Arlington and currently lives in Keller. He is a Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, and is involved in the non-profit organization GRACE, Habitat for Humanity, and other community service activities. He also serves or has served in leadership roles for the Real Estate Section of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Dallas-Fort Worth Rice University Alumni Organization and The R Club, Rice University’s sports lettermen’s’ association.
Mr. Hill is a member in good standing of both the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of California.
